BOLEYN ROAD, NEW FRANKLEY: CALL FOR FULL RESURFACING

Boleyn Road in New Frankley is falling apart. Potholes, deep cracking and failing patch repairs now stretch along the road — a hazard for drivers, cyclists and anyone crossing on foot, and a constant expense for residents whose cars take the punishment.

Patching is no longer enough

As the photos show, the surface is breaking up across whole sections of the carriageway, not just in the odd spot. Where one hole is filled, another opens a few feet away. Only full resurfacing will give Boleyn Road a surface that is safe and built to last.

Residents and their councillor, together

Your local Reform UK councillor for Frankley Great Park, Cllr Gemma Guttridge, is standing with residents to call on Birmingham City Council’s Highways team to put Boleyn Road into its next programme of resurfacing and large-scale road repairs.

“I am aware that many residents are fed up with the state of Boleyn Road, and I share their frustration. The potholes and cracking are getting worse, and patching small sections is no longer the answer — the road needs resurfacing properly.

I am asking Birmingham City Council to put Boleyn Road into its next resurfacing programme. Every name on this petition shows the Council how strongly New Frankley feels, so please add yours and share it with your neighbours. I will keep residents updated on any response I receive 🩵🇬🇧”
